The University of Michigan has been recognized as a Chapter in the new Women in High Performance Computing (WHPC) Pilot Program. WHPC aims to diversify the High Performance Computing (HPC) community. It provides fellowship, education, and support to women, and the organizations that employ them in an effort to increase female participation in the HPC community. Through collaboration and networking, WHPC strives to bring together women in HPC and technical computing. It also engages women in outreach activities to improve the visibility of inspirational role models.
